PROJECT PROPOSAL

A reconnection between human beings and nature could lead to a better world: sustainable and healthy.

Rock climbing in the outdoors is a tool to help people reconnect with nature as we were at the beginning of our times as human beings. It also helps them with mental health and physical health.
Rock climbing is a sport that forces people to get deep in the woods and outside of their comfort zone while climbing and facing their fears. Some people might find that deepening within their selves due to learning how to deal with emotions, owing to this, an act of appreciation and gratitude could surge creating a bond between human beings and nature.
Most human beings to this day don't have the awareness that we live on a living planet that interconnects with other living beings and systems that allow most of life on this planet to coexist.
Therefore, I believe that by sharing experiences, revelations and learnings lived at the climbing spots; maybe people get interested in rock climbing or at least a sport that contains outdoors, such as could be hiking, mounting biking, rappelling, rafting, etc. That could create the bond and awareness towards nature, that the earth and nature need, with respect and conscience.
It is necessary to take action to reconnect with the planet as part of its system. Because the systems that human beings have created: such as the food industry and cloth manufacturing are polluting, wasting, converting, and affecting negatively the earth. Meanwhile, planet earth already has systems working independently including wildlife, natural cycles, and living beings; which proves we need to learn from the systems and Nature.
Something that rock climbing provides to people, that are willing to change their behaviors for better harmonic life.
Therefore, I've created this website to share insights from my perspective throughout the time I've climbed. Sharing experiences that have taught me how to understand the world better through nature, because nature got close to me or me to her and that showed me the real richness in life and me.

What is the process that provokes or awakens people to get involved with nature in a sustainable and environmentalist way?

That is why I believe rock climbing could help us get along better with the planet we live on.
